UPDATE: The Biker Dad blog just spoke with officials in Clayton who tell us the clubs involved are the Pagans and the Red Devils. The Red Devils are a support club of the Hells Angels.

Here is the full unedited press release:

On Wednesday evening, July 7, 2021 at approximately 9:45PM, Clayton Police responded to a report of a shooting and ongoing fight in progress at the Cleveland Draft House, 461 Shotwell Rd. Clayton, NC.

The first officer arrived at approximately 9:50PM and discovered a number of subjects with injuries in the parking lot of the restaurant and began to render aid and collect information from witnesses. Johnston Co. EMS also responded and began treating the injured after they arrived on scene.

Based on information gathered, there was an apparent dispute between members of the Pagans motorcycle club and members of the Red Devils motorcycle club while sitting in an outside patio area of the restaurant that spilled over into the parking lot. It is believed that members of other motorcycle clubs may have also been present.

One Red Devil member was found with a gunshot to the upper thigh area. He was transported to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. He has been identified as Dalton Emmanuel Lapierre, 26, of Clayton, NC.

Four Pagan members were found severely beaten in the head and face areas and were also transported to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. They are identified as Kenneth John Keisler, 49, of Wendell, NC; Charles Joseph Nagy, 48, of Richmond, Va.; Joddy Lee Grider, 50, of Clayton, NC; and Michael Earl Neibert, 44, of Raleigh, NC.

Investigators seized a motorcycle and a pickup truck during the investigation along with numerous firearms and blunt force instruments believed to have been used in the assaults.

Clayton Police detectives are continuing to investigate this incident and identify witnesses.

At this time, no arrests have been made. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Clayton Police at (919)553-4611.

CLAYTON, N.C. (BIKER DAD)– We are learning more about a “biker gang” brawl in North Carolina. Police now say as many as three clubs they call “gangs” may have been involved. The clash at a Clayton, North Carolina restaurant left one person shot and 4 others severely beaten.

The report by WRAL still doesn’t say which clubs were involved. “We do hope for the welfare of everyone involved and we can only hope that this would never, ever happen again whether here at any unsuspecting place of business,” a business spokesperson told the TV station in a statement, “around 11 p.m. a car pulled aggressively into our back parking lot, one of our bartenders became suspicious and locked everyone inside.”

The four were severely beaten with a weapon, which also was not identified. All of the victims survived. Police have not released the names of any of those injured. Initially police said two clubs were involved. Now they say there may have been three.

Again, police have not released the names of the “gangs” involved. I’m not connecting the two at all. I don’t want to speculate. But there does appear to be some sort of turf conflict involving Pagans and Outlaws with many stories of the clubs clashing in the southeast including this one caught on camera.
