MOBILE, Ala. (BIKER DAD) — Things just aren’t the same this week at Mobile Bay Harley Davidson. The team and its customers are missing someone dearly. A longtime service tech, one of the best, died from COVID-19.

Danny Lowry wasn’t just a veteran master tech, he was also a veteran hero. That’s why several of the MBHD family will ride alongside the Patriot Guard to honor Lowry. He passed away Monday.

The PGR sent out a notice about the honor mission Thursday morning saying in part, “family of Sgt First Class Lowry has requested we stand in a silent flag line of respect and honor during the services of their loved one. Sgt. First Class Lowry passed away on Monday 16 Aug 2021 at the age of 65 years old. He served in the United Army for 38 years and was Honorably Discharged.”
During his service, Lowry earned the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with 10 Yr. Device, & Bronze Device, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal 4th award, National Defense Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon.

During his service at Mobile Bay Harley Davidson, he kept countless bikers on the road and help keep them safe with his masterful knowledge of the bikes. That includes mine.
Members of the HD staff, and the HOG chapter will ride along with the Patriot Guard Riders Saturday. It will be my honor to ride along with them. Mobile Bay Harley Davidson will close its service department from 9AM to 1:15PM Saturday so his co-workers can ride in his honor.
