ROGERS, Ar (BIKER DAD)— Bikes, Blues and BBQ is the largest charitable motorcycle rally in the U.S. Last year that major event for bikers and massive fundraiser for a good cause was canceled last minute due to COVID-19 and with little notice left organizers and their charities in a lurch.

Organizers didn’t cancel it, rather permits to use the parking lots at the University of Arkansas campus in Fayatteville were denied. It was too late for them to make alternate plans. The rally has been held in Fayatteville since 2000, and has become one of the largest annual biker events in the country.
BB&BBQ announced new dates for the 2022 rally. That announcement also indicated it was moving to Rogers Arkansas and pulling up stakes from its home for two decades.

The post doesn’t mention the last-minute cancelation of the 2021 rally, but you can be sure that the treatment by the University and the city played a part in the move of this important event. As the Omicron variant is making news, rally organizers will surely push forward with this event. Omicron has proven more contagious. But it also appears to be much milder and less dangerous.
The rally is October 5-8, 2022.
