A video has recently been released showing a fatal collision between a Port Authority police officer and a motorcyclist that took place in Fort Lee, New Jersey. According to the North Jersey article on the matter, the video was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and shows the police officer’s vehicle turning left and colliding with the motorcycle as it was passing by.
Tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The police officer involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital for evaluation. No charges have been filed at this time and the incident is currently under investigation.

The video also revealed that the traffic light at the intersection was green for the officer at the time of the crash. Investigators say the video shows the biker ran a red light. It’s important to note that even when the light is green, drivers must always exercise caution and be aware of their surroundings, including other vehicles and pedestrians.
This tragedy serves as a reminder of the importance of monitoring our actions while driving and to always be mindful of other drivers and vehicles on the road. The results of the investigation into the crash will provide further information on what exactly occurred and may lead to changes in the way similar incidents are handled in the future.
