Motorcyclist Killed in Highway 98 Crash in Mississippi
A 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday night after his Suzuki GSX-R collided with a pickup truck on Highway 98 in George County, Mississippi.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the crash at approximately 7:45 p.m. on September 12, 2026.
Investigators say 37-year-old Darrell Taylor Jr. of Semmes, Alabama, was riding a 2011 Suzuki GSX-R eastbound on Highway 98 when he collided with a 2022 Ford F-250 traveling westbound.
The Ford was driven by 27-year-old Jonathan Lorenzo of Lucedale, Mississippi. Two other passengers, Jose Dominguez and Carlos Dominguez, along with a 4-year-old child, were also inside the pickup.
Taylor suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lorenzo and all three passengers in the Ford were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol. No additional details about what led to the collision have been released.
