ELVANFOOT, Scotland ( BIKER DAD) –A missing biker found dead along a highway has opened a motorcycle mystery. The last time anyone saw the 61-year-old and his Triumph motorcycle was at a gas station. That was Friday morning.

Now the Lanarkshire Police Division is trying to piece the man’s final moments together. That’s why they are asking for the public’s help. It happened near Elvanfoot in Scotland according to a press release. Police didn’t find the the biker’s body and motorcycle until the next morning. That was almost 24 hours later. A missing person’s alert was already out on him.

Police say the biker went off the road. And because of that he died. But they do not know how the crash happened and why the missing biker was found dead. They do know his family reported him missing when he did not come home Friday.

Plea for help

But is there someone out there who can help answer those lingering questions. That is the reason why police are asking for the public’s help. They hope someone, somewhere saw something. Also, they hope that someone even got video of the missing man or his bike.

Sergeant Ryan McAuley from the Divisional Road Police Unit at Motherwell said, “I would urge anyone who saw this black Triumph motorbike being driven on Friday, 4 June to contact officers. I would also ask any motorists in the area with dash cams to check back for any footage of the motorbike.Anyone with information that may assist our ongoing enquiries should contact 101 quoting reference 1097 of 5 June.”

Police did not say exactly what kind of Triumph the man was riding. Also, they did not release the victim’s name. Investigators also did not mention in the release if they had any concerns that foul play may be involved.
