ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (BIKER DAD)– A Biker killed in a highway homicide was a Marine and a freelance journalist. We are learning more about another victim of the horror on a North Carolina highway last month.
The Rockingham County Sheriff has identified the second victim killed as Heneefa Fitzgerald, 42. The Free Lance-Star reports she was a veteran marine who had served 15 years before retiring. The paper reports her resume also stated she won several awards during her service. She also listed herself as a freelance journalist.

Fitzgerald and two other bikers were shot after leaving a Love’s truck stop back in may. The other victim who died is Kwandre Carey. Police haven’t released the identity of a third biker who survived, but earlier reports were that two of the victims were husband and wife.
Meanwhile the man accused of two highway motorcycle murders is back in North Carolina to face charges.Martin Calvin Cox Jr. is charged with 2 counts of murder. Police have not said anything about the motive.
