It happened Thursday at a very popular and crowded tourist hot spot in the Lake of the Ozarks, the Casablanca Bar and Grill. Tonka Way-Con Ponder, 50, of Preston, Missouri, was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. One person died and four others were injured. Police called it an “isolated incident” involving “rival biker gangs.” But, the reports do not name which clubs are involved.
Police say Ponder shot the other man who was “actively engaged in a physical altercation with another subject.” That’s when members of both clubs started firing. STLToday reports, “Ponder and another man were struck and fell to the ground in front of Casablanca, charges say. Ponder then reloaded and shot another man as that man walked away.”
