ANNOUNCEMENT…..It was really important to Wyatt to reach his goal of $30,000 for St. Jude. We sat down tonight as a family and went over the numbers. Wyatt decided he wanted to give 50% toSt. Jude and do 35% for his college fund since this year became more than we could have ever imagined. As of right now Wyatt’s donation to St. Jude including the donation from Eagle Country 95.9/96.3, Wheel City Auto Finance Centers – Sioux Falls, the money from Rushmore Athletics and the $1000 match from Denver MedVed Autoplex Wyatt curently has $31,394.50 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!!!!!!
UPDATE: Bikers who saw the posts about Wyatt came together and got him his own motorcycle. He said he was saving up for a dirt bike as well as raising money for St. Jude. A couple of local riding groups Black Hills Riders and South Dakota Sport Bikes collected money to surprise him with a dirt bike this afternoon. You can see the video above or subscribe to the Biker Dad YouTube Page.
The Rapid City Police Department posted about it saying, “we were more than honored to help escort the group from Rapid City to Wyatt’s Lemonade stand so they could help a kid with such a big heart. Keep up the great work Wyatt!
Wyatt’s mom also posted about it saying, “Hello everyone. “I just wanted to thank you all for what you did today. I know I didn’t get a chance to thank each one of you in person but y’all are amazing. Wyatt was over the top surprised and can’t wait to get on that bike!! We are blessed and thankful to be part of such a wonderful community.”
BLACKHAWK, SD (BIKER DAD) — An unexpected attraction at the 81st Sturgis Rally is getting attention from rally riders and people across the country. It’s called Wyatt’s Lemonade Stand. The boy originally set up the stand outside Sturgis last year to buy a lego set. But it quickly blew up on social media.
According to his Facebook page:
“Wyatt’s lemonade stand started last year with the goal for him to purchase a lego. Little did we know what we were in for. After generous donations started coming in we decided we would need to restructure where donations would go. 50% goes to savings, 30% to a charity of Wyatt’s choice, and 20% for spending. The first year Wyatt ended up being able to donate $200 to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
In 2021 Wyatt had a goal to make $1200 over the course of the Sturgis Rally. On day one we met Tracy who was camping at the campground next to the house and the journey would begin. Tracy posted on a Sturgis page about the stand and that post was copied, added to, and shared over 47k times. And so it began……”

Even the South Dakota Highway Patrol is pitching in.

They posted on their Facebook page about it too:
“Trooper Ford and Recruit McCue stopped by a lemonade stand along Sturgis Rd near Blackhawk that has gained popularity during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Speaking with the father, Wyatt has gained popularity on Facebook with several thousand shares in the last few days. Wyatt began the “donation only” lemonade stand a couple of years ago to fund his purchase of a Lego set. Wyatt puts the money he receives toward a savings account and makes donations to St Jude Children’s Hospital before purchasing anything for himself. He told a biker that he wants to save for a dirt bike so he can learn to start riding.”
