Poker run to benefit family of Mississippi deputy killed in storm cleanup
PICAYUNE, Miss. (BIKER DAD)— Bikers are rallying for a Mississippi deputy killed in storm cleanup. Pearl River County Sheriff’s Deputy Jerry Fleming died September 18th. He was injured days earlier cleaning up a tree toppled by a storm at his house.
First responders lined the intestate Tuesday as his they escorted his body home. You can see video of that in the player above or, by subscribing to our YouTube Channel. The 44-year-old deputy was a 17-year veteran. He had two children and two grandchildren. Family posted about the loss on Facebook. His funeral is set for Thursday.
Now bikers are stepping up to rally for the Mississippi deputy killed in hurricane debris. Bout’s Routes and the Blue Knights are holding a poker run October 19th. It starts at Bayou Bazaar in Picayune, Mississippi on October 9th.
