A 51-mile motorcycle ride is being planned to honor 26-year-old Tyler Sieber, a Marietta motorcycle shop employee who was killed in a road rage shooting last month.
Sieber was shot and killed July 23 during a road rage incident on Interstate 285 near Buford Highway in DeKalb County, according to police. Investigators say another driver shot Sieber and fled, leaving him in the roadway. The shooter has not yet been identified. (https://www.atlantanewsfirst.com)
Sieber worked at Vespa Marietta on Roswell Street, where coworkers remember him as a kind, generous guy who loved motorcycles. His coworkers called him “Captain Tyler.”
“He was just that kind of guy,” said Mark Lewis, the shop’s sales manager, describing Sieber as someone who was always willing to share what he had and help others. (https://www.atlantanewsfirst.com)
Now, friends, family and coworkers are coming together to remember him the best way they know how — on motorcycles.
The “Ride for Tyler” will cover 51 miles, starting at Vespa Marietta and ending in Jasper.
Sieber’s father, Anton, said the family hopes the ride will bring together everyone who knew and loved his son.
“We just really want this to be a special day so that when Tyler looks down, he sees how many people love him and miss him.”
