SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (BIKER DAD)–A South Dakota TV anchor is back on the air after a motorcycle crash. Don Jorgensen is an anchor at KELOLAND TV. That’s the same area where the Sturgis motorcycle rally takes place each year. Jorgensen has been on the air there for more than 3 decades the TV station reports, “Don has been missing from his place at the anchor desk since he and his wife were in a motorcycle crash this Memorial Day.”

“The toughest part really is, you just can’t do the things that you’re used to doing on a regular basis. And if you get them done, you’re doing it a lot slower than you used to because you’re on crutches,” Jorgensen said. KELO reports both he and his wife have had multiple surgeries and are in physical therapy as well.

Jorgensen believes getting back to work will be a part of that therapy too. Even though he won’t be able to walk for months, he started back anchoring the evening news on Wednesday.

You can watch the TV station’s full report in the video box above.
