Brazen bear burglary: bear break’s into officer’s car caught on camera in California

The Sierra County Sheriff’s Office posted the video to Facebook. The car actually belongs to an officer with the sheriff’s office. The bear strolls up to the sedan and casually opens the door. That’s when the animal hops inside. But the sheriff’s office says “thankfully, this bear found nothing of interest.” The bear casually strolls off camera.

“The next morning, when the officer got in her car to go home, she was puzzled to notice the door ajar light illuminated,” the sheriff’s office says. ” She confirmed the rear passenger door was not fully latched; knowing the door had not been ajar when she went to work the previous evening, she took a look through the security footage and discovered the culprit. We wanted to share the laugh with you. Please don’t forget to lock your doors and secure/remove anything that may attract our bears! .”
