UPDATE: According to the Daily Times the rally has been moved to Cotton Eyed Joe in Knoxiville, Tennessee. The group Freedom Matters posted on Facebook saying:  “You can’t cancel freedom. The Freedom Matters Tour on Wed Aug. 18, 6 p.m. is back on in Knoxville. Be there! Thanks to the fine folks at the Cotton Eyed Joe in Knoxville.”

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (BIKER DAD)–A group called Tennessee Stands is calling out Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson for cancelling an anti-mask/vax event on the company’s property. The group says their rally was cancelled at The Shed, a venue owned and operated by the dealer and right next door to the shop.

The dealership told The Daily Times the event was never on their calendar. But Tennessee Stands posed about it anyway saying in part, “apparently, hearing from constitutional experts, a former UN Ambassador, and elected officials is just stirring up too much trouble for this tough biker club.”

The Shed and Smoky Mountain Harley are destinations for bikers across the country. This is due in part to the close proximity to the very popular “Tail of the Dragon” and the great riding in the Smoky Mountains. Biker Dad visited the shop last year and we know a few of the employees there.

Marketing Director of Smoky Mountain Motor Co. Family of Dealerships Tonya Brown emailed The Times Friday there was “no event for Aug. 18th on our calendar” and “No such event coming to The Shed.”
