Horry County police say a bike burglar was shot after a par were busted breaking into a South Carolina home and trying to steal a motorcycle. It happened just before 4 a.m. Friday to a home off Green Sea Road in Green Sea for a burglary.
The suspects broke into the homeowner’s garage to try and steal his motorcycles, according to a police report.
But the homeowner’s alarm had gone off, and he woke up, catching the suspects in the garage.
That’s when the suspects took off, and the homeowner chased after them.
At some point, one of the suspects was shot. Horry County police spokesperson Mikayla Moskov said officers are still investigating the circumstances behind the shooting, including who pulled the trigger.
