COLOMBIA, MISS (BIKER DAD) — “As many of you heard, my love was taken from us (murdered by a dodge ram truck driver),” a heart-breaking post from the wife of the latest victim of deadly driving in Mississippi on Facebook reads, “a little more than 3 hours ago and our babies and I would just like to be kept in your prayers. I’m having a hard time believing this right now.” Pamela Macpherson and her children are left behind after the deadly moment on a Mississippi road that took the life of solider and biker dad Ryan Machpherson.

It happened on Evelyn Gandy Parkway ramp off of I-59.
40-year-old Ryan Macpherson of Columbia was killed after his motorcycle collided with a Dodge Ram pickup on Tuesday, Oct. 29, around 1:30 p.m.
Macpherson was traveling north from Hinton Road, crossing over Highway 42 when the crash happened.
MHP responded quickly after, and Macpherson was pronounced dead on the scene. The cause, police say, is still under investigation.
Another friend posted on Facebook, “he was a great father, husband, and NCO, and I was privileged to call him a friend. Rest in peace, brother. Ryan MacPherson. “

“Ryan has only been home for three months after his deployment before his life was taken from him,” Macpherson wrote. “He didn’t die on his deployment, but he died at home three months after deployment. In all states in everywhere we have got to come together to end this madness for all lives lost including Ryan’s.”

He was honorably discharged from the navy with several awards . He served in the navy from 2022-2007, then he joined the Mississippi national guard in 2017. His wife tells me he was deployed to Jordan during the attacks there and had to have his shoulder reconstructed, “he shouldn’t have to come home after surviving hell of there just to die 3 months after he finally comes home.”
They have four children including a new baby born at Christmas time. “We got pregnant in March after my mother died last year before he deployed and had our baby during Christmas,” his wife told me. “He finally got to meet her for only 3 months of being in her life. Our next youngest turns 3 this weekend and I feel her and the baby will never remember him or know how much he idolized them and their sisters…He rode bikes all his life since he was young and this just isn’t fair”
