Officer who killed one of my best friends, out on bond arrested for more dangerous driving

Out on Bond for Killing a Motorcyclist… Then Caught Speeding Again

Some stories hit harder than others—this is one of them.

A former police officer out of Mobile, Alabama—already facing a homicide by vehicle charge for killing a motorcyclist—who happened to be a very close friend of mine is back behind bars. Not because of the original case… but because he couldn’t stay out of trouble.

While out on bond, he was pulled over for speeding.
Yeah… speeding. Again.

That biker was my friend Sumner “Kahuna” Howard. He was riding home one night when the officer ran a stop sign on a call, with no sirens blaring. Kahuna t-boned the officers car . He later died in the hospital .

According to prosecutors, when he was stopped, he allegedly told the trooper he was still a police officer—something investigators say wasn’t true, because he had already resigned.

That moment may have sealed his fate.

Let That Sink In

A rider lost his life.
A family lost someone they’ll never get back.

And the man accused of causing it…
was back on the road, allegedly speeding again like nothing happened.

This Is Why Riders Get Heated

Every biker knows the feeling—
You’re out there exposed, no cage, no protection… just you and the road.

And stories like this?
They hit deep in the community.

Because it’s not just about one crash.
It’s about accountability.
It’s about respect for riders’ lives.

Now He’s Back Behind Bars

That speeding stop—along with the false claim about being an officer—led to his bond being revoked.

Meaning he’s now sitting in jail again while facing that original charge.

Final Thought

If you take a life on a motorcycle…
you don’t get to just hit the gas and move on like nothing happened.

If you want, I can  make this even more aggressive,  more emotional, or  tailor it to your exact TVBikerDad voice (grittier, more raw, more “biker brotherhood”).
