Motorcyclist Killed in Early Morning Upstate New York crash

OWEGO, NY — A motorcyclist lost their life in a crash involving an SUV early Wednesday morning in the Town of Owego, according to New York State Police. (https://www.wbng.com)

Troopers were dispatched around 4 a.m. to the intersection of Route 434 and Forest Hill Road following reports of a serious collision. Upon arrival, emergency responders immediately began life-saving efforts on the motorcyclist, but those efforts were unsuccessful. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. (https://www.wbng.com)

Investigators say the SUV was traveling on Forest Hill Road and entered the intersection with Route 434. Police determined the SUV driver failed to see the motorcycle traveling on Route 434, resulting in the motorcycle striking the side of the SUV. (https://www.wbng.com)

The SUV driver was transported to Wilson Medical Center for evaluation and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been announced at this time. (https://www.wbng.com)

The rider of the motorcycle, identified as Warren O. Loza, 39, of Vestal, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.. The crash remains under investigation by New York State Police. (https://www.wbng.com)
