Another biker is dead after a driver turned left in front of him. This time witnesses say the biker was driving recklessly and speeding at 80-mph in Cartersville, Georgia. That’s when a driver made a left turn in front of him.
The preliminary report showed Tahir’s motorcycle also struck a second SUV that was waiting to turn following the initial collision. A 3-year-old in a car seat near the impact site was not injured,

Left-hand turns are one of the leading causes of all motorcycle accidents. In fact, research from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) shows that 42 percent of fatal motorcycle accidents occur when a car is turning left while the motorcycle is passing directly through an intersection or passing another vehicle.
Left-turn accidents involving motorcycles are unfortunately extremely common. Many drivers simply do not see motorcyclists when navigating traffic on the roads. Overall, 41 percent of all motorcycle accidents occur because drivers do not see the motorcycle, according to the NHTSA.
