Most people aren’t aware that coastal Alabama is a hotspot for shooting Hollywood movies. In fact I was cast as an extra a few years back as a bookstore clerk in Amazon’s “Map of Tiny Perfect Things.” And big names from Steven Seagal to Stephen King have had projects in the Mobile area.

Maybe not as high profile but certainly a big project, the latest to come to the coast: a Hallmark movie.

Goldman Casting put the call out for extras on Facebook.

The Hallmark film called (at least for casting purposes) “Spring Breakthrough” is being filmed in Mobile and Baldwin Counties February 22 – March 3.

According to the post, the movie is looking for more than 200 men, women and Childers to play various parts. The parts include resort guests, resort employees and other roles.
