Knoxville biker killed when car crosses the center line

According to WATE TV: 44 year old Christopher Phillips was killed Thursday morning when a Lexas crossed the center line on Clinton Highway and slammed head-on into his Harley-Davidson.
.According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Lexus was driving south on Clinton Highway while a Harley Davidson was driving north on Thursday, July 27, around 7 a.m. The Lexus reportedly crossed the center line into the northbound lanes, according to the preliminary THP report.
According to the report, he was wearing a helmet. The driver of the Lexus was not injured in the crash. The report does list charges as pending against them. The crash closed both directions of traffic on Clinton Highway at Old Clinton Highway while emergency responders worked the scene, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation. By around noon, lanes appeared to have been opened again.
